Elliot Hong (Director)

Elliot Hong (Eui Bong Hong) is a filmmaker whose roots came from the Korean film industry. In 1968, he came to Los Angeles to study at the UCLA Film Department, where he received the renowned Louis B. Mayer award. Shortly after he made several feature films in Hollywood, such as ¡° Kill The Golden Goose, ¡± ¡° Retrievers ,¡± and ¡° They Call Me Bruce, ¡± to name a few. ¡° They Call Me Bruce ¡± became a big hit in 1982 and received much acclaim and recognition. That same year Elliot Hong was born again as a Christian and decided to dedicate and devote himself to making only Christian films.

Hong was very much influenced by the Messianic Jewish teacher Zola Levitte through TBN, and the Lord poured His love for Israel into his heart. Since 1983, he visited the Holyland a total of eight times and made several documentaries as well as feature films. His last two feature films, ¡° The Rose of Sharon ¡± and ¡° Never Divided Again, ¡± were made back to back in 2006. Currently he is developing another feature film titled ¡° The Final Battleground,¡± which is another film about Israel and the Lord's return. Hong is well known for his specialty in making films of profound spirituality with a low budget. He continues to combine his love for filmmaking with his love for God.

Elliot Hong is also the president of New Heart Ministry, which he founded in 2000 for the purpose of preparing the way of the Lord's return through films. He strongly believes that film is the most powerful and rapid method to spread God's messages at this end of time.
